Nature II Cartridge Chemical Care

When using the Nature II Sanitizer Cartridge, here's what we recommend:
Use Metal Gone when you first fill-up your spa with new water. This coats the metal parts in your spa so they don’t corrode!
Use Bright and Clear 2x a week, and do a ‘fast pour’. We recommend Tuesday’s and Thursdays.
Use Spa Defender 2x a week, and do a ‘fast pour’. We recommend Wednesday’s and Friday’s.
Use Renew 1x a week, and use only one capful. We recommend Sunday’s, but any day will do.
Always change the Nature II cartridge after 6 months. Always!
Always clean your filters from the inside out, every three weeks. Always!! (And replace it each year no matter what!!)
NEVER use Bright and Clear and Spa Defender in the same 24 hour period. Never!
Always change your water every six-months... not seven, but six!!!
Chemicals like Ph UP and Ph DOWN are only if you are experiencing a heavy smell from your spa. Most people do NOT need these additional chemicals. If your spa is equipped with an Ozone, you will not need to worry about these or test strips.
Use 303 Protectant on your spa cover to help it whether the sun!
Immediately, when noticing a build-up around the spa (a 'scum line'), get out a scouring pad and remove the scum line.
With a Sundance Spa, remember to make sure that the Micron (smaller) Filter is clean - this is what the 24-hour circulation pump breathes through...
Remember the general RULE for spa chemical care: if the water looks and smells good, it IS good!!

Use Metal Gone when you first fill-up your spa with new water. This coats the metal parts in your spa so they don’t corrode!
Use Chlorine or Bromine Tablets (1" round) when first starting with new water. Use 1 Chlorine or 2 Bromine tablets. If you want extra piece of mind, repeat this step every month.
Use Renew 1x a week, and use only one capful. We recommend Sunday’s, but any day will do.
