We recently asked you (All Valley) to come to our home to discuss the possiblity
of adding a bbq island to our backyard, but you asked us to come to your store first. Why? Please
note that we will be HAPPY to come to your home to discuss the wonderful world of bbq islands, but you must come to our
store first to see the many different options that are available to you. We have, in the past, first come to our
clients' homes, but when discussing the accessories and options, our clients had no clue as to what we were talking about.
Now, with our current policy of asking our future clients to come to our store PRIOR to going to their home, it makes
the meeting at their home more productive, visual, and truly helps our clients design a better island. Remember; we
are here to help our clients, so if what we're doing doesn't help them, then we switch to what does. :) Pride Piper of Palm Desert, Inc. is now out of business, and we noticed on your website
that you are now using the Pride Piper name. Did you buy the business and can you take care of our products that we
purchased from them? Yes, Pride Piper of Palm Desert, Inc. went out of business recently, and
we got the name and phone number. But while we did not buy their business, we have the ability to service what they
sold you, so please contact us directly (either at our or their phone number) and we'll be more than happy to try to
help you!
We noticed that a competitor here in the desert
states that he sells American-Made products, but we noticed they were selling Turbo, Ducane, Weber, etc. We were told
that these brands are Chinese. We want to buy quality American-made products, so who is telling the truth? Well,
the Bull and Turbo and Ducane and Weber and ... bbq's are all Chinese-made. Not only assembled in China, but also
manufactured there, as well. Again, we want to make clear that the Chinese are not bad at manufacturing - in fact, they
excel at it. What they are NOT good at is sourcing the metals and components used for these products, so while it may
LOOK good initially, it will fail quickly, and the repair bills will surpass the purchase price. Just look at BBQ's
Galore - they went Bankrupt because of their Chinese products, and also look at JennAir bbq's sold at Lowe's - again,
cheap stuff that breaks all the time. Our recommendation? Stick with quality American-made products. Oh,
and to answer your question, the first shop that told you those brands were American were lying to you; they are Chinese-products,
and we recommend you stay away from these products... AND liars...
At the do-it-yourself
stores, they have inexpensive grills that say "Commercial" on them, and all your commercial grills are over $1,000.
Why? It's unfortunate, but the term "Commercial" is being used loosely by the lessor manufacturers.
There are standards for a grill to become a Commercially-Rated grill, and they also need to be ETL rated for outdoor use.
I guess it's a matter of trust; for $350, the Brinkman(tm) Commercial grill isn't truly a commercially-rated
appliance. Plus, we don't endorse any foreign-made and manufactured grill. :)
Why
are your competitors selling the low-price Chinese grills? Because they want your Warranty and/or Repair money
in the near future. We won't sell this stuff, so if you want cheap, go to Home Depot or Lowe's and grab one off the
floor. But when it breaks, don't call us, as we probably can't help. The parts are just too difficult to get.
We want to buy a bbq grill, but we don't know which brands are good or bad. Can you help
us? Every bbq dealer will tell you that whatever they sell is the best. But the one thing that All Valley
has is major experience with ALL of the brands. After many years, we've stopped pushing those brands that have
began production on foreign soil (There are too many to mention....), and have continued with grills that offer major
performance with American-made reliability. We love Jade, FireMagic, Twin Eagles & American Outdoor because
they simply don't break, and this makes our customers very happy. As we've said above, it's easy to sell cheap stuff
for a cheap price... but we have been able to offer the Coachella Valley great products at reasonable prices, and we
are very happy selling good-quality items vs. cheaply made items.
We've been told that
we should only build a masonry island structure. Are they stronger than the metal ones? No, not at all.
Both masonry and metal islands are strong, so it really comes down to aesthetics. We do tiled kickplates on-site on
our islands, so visually speaking, there will be no gap with our products at the base of our products (additional fee), just
like a masonry island. The real advantage to our products are price (metal islands are less costly), mess (masonry islands
are dirty and dusty to build), and storage space (metal islands offer you usable inside space to store things). But
both types of structures are strong enough to withstand years of use.
Are Palapas legal to
own in our dry climate? Yes, palapa structures are legal as long as you take care of the requirements of ownership,
as defined by the Riverside Fire Marshall. Basically, every six months, you must spray your thatch Palapa with a fire-retardant,
oil-based product that helps the structure meet local fire codes. Not only is this for the safety of your home, but
also for the safety of your neighbor's homes.
Can you arrange for everything to be done to
our backyard so that we can get a 'soup-to-nuts' package on a backyard? Yes, this is our specialty. We
can arrange for the concrete to be poured, the gas, electricity, and water lines to be installed and hooked-up, the landscaping
to be done, the bbq island to be constructed, and even your pool to be refinished and pebble-tech'd! We do it all with
our contractor-friends' help! Anything is possible with All Valley, and your happiness is what drives us! We notice that you carry both Sundance and Hot Spring spas. Which one is better,
or the one you recommend? Well, both companies are wonderful, and are considered in the industry to be 'top notch'.
Masco owns Watkins, who builds the Hot Spring spa lines (all five of them!), and Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath owns Sundance spas,
who consistantly earn the "Best Buy" award from Consumer Reports. So, we at All Valley feel that both lines
are 'the best', but the great thing about them is that they do not overlap features, giving you (our customer) the ability
to choose the look you want and the features that are most important to you; once you've done that, you'll have decided on
a brand! If you like technological features and lots of LED lights, then maybe the Hot Spring Limelight series is going
to draw you in... or if you need the largest spa made, the Sundance Maxxus spa will be your choice. Ultimately, if we
give our customers the ability to choose what they want, then they will make their decision. We believe, however, that
your choice is what matters most.
Do you service what you sell? Absolutely! We
charge reasonable fees and use factory-new parts. For bbq's, we do the majority of work. For spas, we use
a local, factory-trained spa company.
